Project Manager

Description

Our Company designs, manufactures and installs large custom conveyor systems and material handling systems for the automotive and transportation industries. We are currently seeking experienced Project Managers to join our team. Responsibilities

Our Project Management team oversees the design, development, fabrication and installation of large custom conveyor systems at our customer's facilities around the country. Responsibilities include:

  • Directly oversee a project team consisting of engineers, production staff and field installation crews
  • Attend customer bid-meetings, contract meetings and walk-throughs, as necessary;
  • Create and maintain project schedules, progress billings, customer reports and project updates as required
  • Oversee any subcontractors hired to work on the jobs;
  • Provide on-site supervision during the installation and operation phases./li>

  • Experienced in project managing large custom CONVEYOR/MATERIAL HANDLING projects to the automotive industry.

Electrical Controls Engineer

Description

Our Company designs, manufactures and installs large custom conveyor systems and material handling systems for the automotive and transportation industries. We are currently seeking Electrical Controls Engineers to join our team. Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience working in the Controls environment.
  • Experience working with ControlLogix, RSView Studio, Step7, and/or WinCC Flexible is a major plus.
  • A bachelors, associates or technical degree.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to reach the team goals.

Mechanical Engineer

Description

We are currently seeking Mechanical Engineers to join our team. Responsibilities
Our engineering team develops custom designs and takes those designs from conception to operation. Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze and engineer the custom designed customer project;
  • Attend customer bid-meetings, contract meetings and walk-throughs, as necessary;
  • Create and revise project drawings as required;
  • Create and release purchased parts, materials and equipment lists to purchasing;
  • Create and release approved work orders and drawings to the shop and the field;
  • Provide on-site field engineering, as necessary.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in the CONVEYOR/MATERIAL HANDLING.INDUSTRY
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Background with FactoryCAD, Solid Edge and other 3D software, preferred
  • Knowledge of structural steel elements, material handling and production systems

Controls Purchasing Engineer

Description

Central Process Engineering is a Growing company that specializes in Control System Integration and Installation for Automation. CPE is currently looking for a Purchasing Engineer. This position will report to our General Manager and will be an important position in the corporation. The position will require a person with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize them on a daily basis. This position requires a technical background related to Industrial controls and electrical products used for automation. This position is based in our Wixom, MI office.

Purchasing Engineer Job Responsibilities:

• Administers the procurement of industrial automation products as specified by engineering as well as commodity electrical installation materials as required by the specific project.

• Coordinate and prioritize material flow with GM, Project Managers, Shop Manager.

Purchasing Engineer Job Duties:

• Provide a single source of contact with suppliers

• Obtain quotes for material listed on BOM supplied by the engineering department and write purchase orders for released material.

• Tracks project material purchases, expedite as required, follow up to confirm delivery, and track receipt and be able to share with the team material delivery dates so that the projects can be kept on schedule.

• Maintain commodity supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.

• Process incoming/outgoing parts shipments, assist shop shipping and receiving activities.

• Resolves purchasing problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions for issues that are common.

• Identify and track cost reduction opportunities with suppliers, engineering, and estimating

• Maintain material cost database for estimating and engineering use.

• Maintain good working relationships with suppliers and colleagues.

• Will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.

Purchasing Engineer Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of engineering or electrical installation, and purchasing experience in related field.

• Experience with sourcing vendors, procurement and/or working with engineers and electricians.

Controls Administrative Assistant

Description

Central Process Engineering is a growing company that specializes in Control System Integration and Installation for Automation. CPE is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant. This position will report to our General Manager and will be an important position in the corporation. Administrative Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Provides support services by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies, and monitoring administrative projects.

Administrative Assistant Job Duties:

• Perform administrative duties for company. Responsibilities may include screening calls; managing calendars; making travel arrangements, meeting and event arrangements; Prepare reports and job tracking data

• Oversees staff training by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities. Tracks progress for individual employee’s skills and certifications. Also maintains all training documents and records.

• Liaison to the accounting department, performing tasks required to make sure that company financial data is correct as well as look for opportunities to improve the processes.

• Assist Purchasing Engineer when needed. Must be able to perform critical duties of the Purchasing Engineer when he/she is not available.

• Ensure operation of office equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

• Maintain "new employee" training documentation and provide orientation for new employees.

• Understand company policies and procedures and be able to answer employee questions and/or help them understand and get their issues resolved.

• Assist where needed in all departments of the company. Assist others with special projects.

• Maintain good working relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.

• Will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.

• Support GM in maintaining CCMS documentation.

Warehouse Assistance

Description

Fast-paced, rapidly expanding material handling supplier seeks shipping/receiving/warehouse person to handle day-to-day incoming and outgoing shipments. Responsible for accurate receiving, loading, unloading, storing and executing shipment orders. Knows and understands their responsibility in a contingency plan or crisis situation.

Inbound Freight: Counts all products, compares to manifest and checks all shipments for damage, shortage, overage and any other discrepancies. Reports shortages, damages and/or discrepancies to Purchasing personnel. Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to assigned storage locations.

Storage: Maximizes space usage. Properly organizes and safely moves items into racks, locations and or ready rows.

Cargo handling: Ensures that the correct number and type of product are being handled. Transports orders to shipping locations or work area with material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jacket). Review markings, address on cargo and ensure correct reference labels are on the cargo.

Outbound Freight: Compares quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct. Alerts shipping personnel when materials are ready to ship.

Facility / Equipment: Maintains equipment and ensures warehouse areas are neat, clean of debris and in an orderly fashion. Operates equipment safely and efficiently. Complies with all local, OSHA standards.

Other Duties: Repacks or re-boxes items as required. Operates manual shrink-wrap, apply plastic and metal banding as needed.

Qualifications: 3+ years’ experience in shipping/receiving/warehousing preferred but not required.

Knowledge/ Skills: Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math (add, subtract, divide, multiply) and write legibly. Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods.

Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis. Must be able to use proper lifting techniques. The ability to follow directions with emphasis on safety is extremely important. Must be able to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements. Must be able to shift priorities easily.

Special Requirements: Must have excellent work habits. Must be willing to work overtime as required. Must be familiar with or have a basic understanding of warehouse systems. Fork-lift certification is required. Company will provide for this training if not certified.

Salary: Dependent on experience, Heath care, Optical, Dental, Vision, 401k with matching contribution.
